The Iranian government used the same logic last week after it released photos of student opposition leader Majid Tavakoli dressed in a woman’s chador. The government claims that Tavakoli was discovered wearing the chador as a disguise when he was arrested. Others claim that the government digitally altered the photos to shame Tavakoli and smear his reputation.
