Jihan El Midany will make history this Saturday at the opening ceremony of the inaugural Youth Olympics being held in Singapore.  This 18 year old pentathlete will be the first woman from Egypt to be the flag bearer at an Olympic event.  If she wins a medal in her competition, one that includes swimming, shooting, fencing and running, she will be the first woman from Egypt to ever receive a medal in an Olympic event.  The Youth Olympics will have about 3,600 competitors this year from 204 different countries.  The competitors, their ages ranging from 14 to 18, will be competing in same 26 sports that the summer Olympics featured.
