UmmahBuzz is operated by Ummah Media Group LLC, a US-based company. Our privacy posture is simple: we don't sell your data, we don't track you across the web, and we only collect what we need to serve you content.

What we collect

• If you upvote, save, or submit: we store your UmmahPass account ID linked to those actions.
• Anonymous traffic: we run privacy-respecting analytics (Matomo, self-hosted) with IP anonymization. No Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel.
• Cookies: session cookies for login state. No third-party advertising cookies.

What we don't do

• Sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
• Share data with advertisers about who you are.
• Build a behavioral profile to follow you off-site.

UmmahPass single sign-on

When you sign in to UmmahBuzz with UmmahPass, we receive your UmmahPass user ID, screenname, and (if scope granted) email. We don't request anything else. See ummahpass.io/privacy for the parent privacy policy that governs your UmmahPass account.

News content + sources

UmmahBuzz aggregates headlines and excerpts from third-party publishers (Middle East Eye, Al Jazeera, IslamicFinder, etc.) via their public RSS/Atom feeds. We link back to the original source on every story. We don't republish full articles. Copyright belongs to the original publishers.

Children's privacy

UmmahBuzz is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
